About the song (writer’s outlook).
Whatever your point of view is, circumstances are, from a wider (ok, maybe much wider, sometimes) perspective, similar for everybody. We share the same rain, the same sun, the same vegetation. It’s only the point of view that changes.
One Nature takes care of us all, one same source of wellbeing, in spite of us. A source of only, and only, wellbeing. Our job is to relax and be authentic.
Nature doesn’t need us to take care of Herself. If everything seemed to die, if we all passed, a green baby would sneak out somewhere. That’s my firm belief, and that’s what’s been before (or so say scientists).
We need to care after ourselves. By keeping our forests green and our skies clean, we are looking after mankind, not Nature itself. So we need to watch our backs. We need to be wise. We need to have eyes to see that, beyond natural disasters that occur from time to time, and beyond our comprehension, wellbeing, abundance, and even kindness are our most quotidian experience.
Nature is evergreen, everlasting, everliving. It is so beyond our perception, beyond Illusions.
And the greatest Illusion of all is that of separation: the things we think of as separate and different are actually One. We are all part of One Love, One People, One World, and yet we live as separate entities.
How can we ever be interested in a rainforest if we think of it as far, far away and foreign? How can we ever care about environment if we think of it as outside of ourselves? Then involvement becomes a chore, instead of being a fluid, healthy, integral part of anyone’s life, just like eating or teeth-brushing.
We are all connected. We are all one, as mankind, as ecological community, as Universe.
